GOALS:

Develop a passion for Jesus: “Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, O LORD, We have waited for You eagerly; Your name, even Your memory, is the desire of our souls.”  Isaiah 26:8.  Our goal is that youth have a hunger for God’s word, dedicated to prayer, have a passion for worship, who believe the Bible as absolute truth and Jesus Christ is the only way to God.

Grow positive Relationships: Our goal is for youth to respect those over them (adults), love those around them (peers) and a witness to those who don’t know Christ.

Become dynamic Leaders: We want our youth to be leaders at home, in their schools, where they work – wherever they are. We also want your youth to serve and to be salt and light, so others would see Jesus Christ in their lives.

FUNCTIONS:

o Sunday school: Jim presents a lesson to our youth in a large group setting.

o The Revolution: Wednesday night youth group – The meeting begins at 7:00 and ends at 8:30.  The meeting consists of a gathering time, worship with our youth praise band and small group time.  Small groups are age and gender divided; junior high guys, junior high girls, senior high guys and senior high girls. Junior high groups have an adult leader while high school groups are student led with an adult helper. The groups will be given a discussion guide where they read a Bible passage and discuss how to apply it to their life.

o Deeper: Sunday afternoon Bible study – Sunday afternoon is another opportunity for the youth to grow deeper in their walk with Christ by reading the Bible or different Christian books.

o Youth prayer: Every Wednesday from 6:20 -7 PM there are 2 prayer groups that meet, one for the guys and one for the girls.

o Ministry opportunities: Local missions that we serve at throughout the year.

o Social opportunities: we get together once a month for a time of fellowship:

  • Royals game
  • World’s of Fun

  • Video Scavenger Hunt
  • Paint Ball
  • Lock-in and laser tag

o Spiritual Events: These are focused events to help grow spiritually

  • Super Summer – summer camp
  • In DEPTH – winter conference
  • Good Friday Service
  • Fall retreat
  • Half night of prayer
  • Bible marathon
